As Head Product Optimization, Beate drives customer focused product optimization across the Roche portfolio. Since joining Roche in 1998, she has held roles including Preclinical DMPK Project Leader, Laboratory Head Preformulation, Clinical Pharmacologist, Clinical Team Leader, Global Development Leader, Global Project Leader, Portfolio Strategy Director, and Product Optimization Franchise Leader. Since 2012 she has lectured at the Baden Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University on Personalized Health Care, Drug Development, and Pharmacology. She also serves as a Board Member of the Subcutaneous Drug Delivery and Development Industry Consortium and co-leads the Clinical Development and Regulatory Pathway subteam. Beate also acts as the Industry Chairperson of the Industry Foresight Council of the Controlled Release Society. Beate is a Pharmacist with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmaceutics and a Diploma in European Market Access.
