Omid is an accomplished scientist with a specialisation in drug product design, manufacturing processes, and drug delivery. He applies integrated mechanistic and multi-scale modelling and simulation, spanning manufacturing (e.g., process modelling) to drug product performance (e.g., PBBM/PBPK). As Principal Scientist at Pfizer, Omid leverages in vitro and in silico biopharmaceutics tools to assess oral and non-oral drug products across development stages. Previously, he was Senior Research Scientist at Certara’s Simcyp Division, leading mechanistic model development for complex non-oral products, including long-acting injectables. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering focused on wetting, spreading, and liquid–solid interactions. Omid has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in colloid and interface science, particulate processes, and biopharmaceutics.
