Lizbeth holds a PhD in the field of industrial pharmacy from the University of Basel in Switzerland. Her research has been based on the implementation of different analytical process technologies, for example, near-infrared for real-time monitoring of pharmaceutical processes in batch and continuous modalities. Since 2011, Lizbeth has worked for Novartis Switzerland in various positions, from process validation to pharmaceutical development. In her current role as associate director of data science, she scouts for new technologies, evaluates process data to streamline product development, increase process understanding, reduce the time it takes for the product to reach the market. Lizbeth consistently advances innovation and data-drive decision making, contributing to CMC submission strategies for products utilizing process analytical technologies and chemometric models.
