Amrit is scientific director of solid-state sciences and particle engineering in Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, overseeing solid form screening, solid-state characterization, and prediction of solid form, form attributes, and manufacturability across drug substance and drug product interfaces. As the former deputy scientific director and team leader of formulation and material science of research center pharmaceutical engineering (RCPE), Amrit has been part of several industry-academia collaborations and consortia constituting pharma, excipients, and equipment companies dealing with the challenges in solid form & particle design and engineering, manufacturability, product stability, and biopharmaceutics. Amrit, as an associate professor at Graz University of Technologies, coached several pharmaceutical scientists and students. He is an active leader in solid state pharmaceutics among academia and industrial research communities and has co-authored several research papers, book chapters and conference contributions.
