Aseel Samaro is a Pharmacist with an MSc in Drug Delivery and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her doctoral research focused on hot melt extrusion (HME) and downstream processing, where she evaluated novel thermoplastic Polyoxazolines as matrix excipients for sustained-release formulations. During her PhD she also investigated the integration of fused deposition modelling (FDM) with HME to advance 3D-printed personalized medicines. She is currently the Additive Manufacturing Platform Manager at Ghent University, responsible for valorising research through industrial collaborations, licensing, spin-off support, and funding acquisition. In parallel, Aseel is part of the OXAForm team, where she leads the scientific innovation driving the development of next-generation pharmaceutical excipients.
