Philippe Caisse is a chemist and polymer scientist by education, but his 30+ year-experience covers the full spectrum of Pharmaceutical Product Development, from early-stage formulation design to industrial scale-up. Philippe has been Scientific Director of the Pharma Group of Gattefossé since 2020. He oversees the 4 Technical Centers of Excellence, with the aim to strengthen the global technical and scientific support to customers and to foster innovation and research programs leading to new applications and new excipients. Through collaborations with academic teams and industrial partnerships he contributes to promoting scientific understanding of lipid properties to further expand their functionalities and use. As achievements in his recent role, he has coauthored around 20 peer-reviewed articles and presented at scientific congresses such as PBP-26, CRS-25, AAPS-24 and DDF-25.
