Lukas Bollenbach is a Postdoctoral Scientist in Formulation Development at Boehringer Ingelheim, specialising in surfactants, high-concentration biologics, and novel formulation strategies. He completed his vocational training as a pharmaceutical technician before studying Pharmacy at Technische Universität Braunschweig. He carried out his doctoral research at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in the group of Prof. Mäder, focusing on protein formulations and the impact of surfactants on protein stability. His current work centres on elucidating and optimising surfactant behaviour in complex biopharmaceutical systems and developing robust formulations for modern therapeutic proteins.
