Dr. Jose M. Lagaron is a Full Professor, Founder, and Group Leader of the Novel Materials and Nanotechnology for Health Applications group at CSIC (Spanish National Research Council). He also served as Founder, Chairman, CEO and CSO of BioNanoPharma S.L. and is currently Founder, Chairman and CSO. According to Scopus, Dr. Lagaron has authored 373 peer-reviewed publications, holds 78 patents, and has an h-index of 83—reflecting his significant impact in the fields of biopolymers and nanobiotechnology. He is a member of the editorial boards of several prominent scientific journals and currently serves as Vice-President of BIOVAL, the Bioregion of the Valencian Community in Spain. In addition to his academic and executive roles, Dr. Lagaron has founded multiple nanobiotech spin-offs, including Bioinicia S.L. and BioNanoPharma S.L., contributing to the translation of advanced technologies into commercial applications.
