Angela Assunta Lopedota is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology and Regulatory Affairs at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. She earned her degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology in 1994 and a PhD in Technologies of Biologically Active Substances in 1998. She has held academic positions at the Universities of Calabria and Bari and was a visiting researcher at the University of Frankfurt. In 2023, she received national scientific habilitation as Full Professor. Her research focuses on innovative drug delivery systems, especially for paediatric and age-related conditions, enhancing drug solubility, stability, palatability, and controlled release using cyclodextrins, nanoparticles, liposomes, and mucoadhesive polymers. She has authored 118 peer-reviewed publications (h-index 34, Scopus citations 3085), holds patents, and regularly presents at international symposia. She teaches extensively in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Bari and the Catholic University Our Lady of Good Counsel in Tirana, Albania
