Juha Mönkäre is currently Principal Scientist at Drug Product Development & Delivery at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines and has worked at the company since 2018. He is specialized on drug product development of vaccines and advanced therapies by using several modalities, such as viral vectors, proteins, RNA lipid nanoparticles and adjuvants, at different stages of development. He is a pharmacist by training with PhD in pharmaceutical technology from University of Eastern Finland in 2012. Before joining J&J, he worked as a post-doc researcher in the field of dermal vaccine delivery at Leiden University and as a formulation scientist for long acting injectables at Medincell.
