Dr. Dajun Sun is a distinguished pharmaceutical scientist with over 10 years of experience in drug development and regulatory science. Currently a Principal Scientist at J&J Innovative Medicine, he specializes in the end-to-end development of oral macromolecule formulations for systemic and GI-targeted delivery. His expertise also spans enabling formulations including absorption enhancers for poorly permeable drugs and amorphous solid dispersions for poorly water-soluble drugs. Prior to his current role, Dr. Sun held key scientific positions at Merck KGaA (Darmstad, Germany) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), where he led research on regulatory science of complex oral drug products. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Toronto, an MBA from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. Dr. Sun has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications on advanced drug delivery technologies, and several patents on oral peptide formulations.
