Aktham is Vice President-Research Synthetic Molecule Design and Development at Eli Lilly and Company. His expertise is in formulation and drug delivery of small molecules, peptides and oligonucleotides. He has led and contributed to the development, submission and commercialization of multiple products spanning different modalities. Aktham published more than 80 journal articles, book chapters, patents/applications & conference proceedings. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota and lecturer at the University of Maryland. Aktham received a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Iowa and a BSc in Pharmacy from Jordan University of Science and Technology.
