Lukas currently finalises his PhD thesis at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. His project is about the stabilization of biotherapeutic proteins by surfactants. The main focus is the use of poloxamer 188 in such formulations. In addition to protein stabilization, Lukas is also looking at physico-chemical properties and the stability of the poloxamer itself. Lukas is a licensed pharmacist and trained as a pharmaceutical technician prior to his university studies.
